Has same basic character as Old Timer but I dig the 'fat' button & the mix option. Loads of presets.Ĥ) PSP Master Comp - one of the two oldies on the list. Can be good as a sort of fast-attack limiter after some of the others like compassion.ģ) Klanghelm DC8C - cheap, transparent, accurate, and as flexible as they come. Great on tracking too.ģ) Fab Filter C - Superb on tracking, flexible, transparent, but with a punch. Makes it to the strip every time.Ģ) Compassion - If you want loud, loud, loud, don't skip this one. Excluding limiters and the aforementioned VBC, my top ten would be:ġ) PSP Old Timer- Great for tightening up the low-end, adding punch, & subtle changes to the stereo image with it's mid-side processing. These are the ones that get the most use for me, roughly in this order, over submiss busses (everything but drums and vocals, generally). Here are some of the better one's you might also investigate. I haven't tried Cytomic (I think I remember it being Mac only?) but tried tons of others.
